Emasculating The Male
Horse training used to be referred to as horse breaking. Essentially what you would do is take a wild horse, tie him up to a fence for hours until such point that he had no more fight left in him. Not only would you break the horse but you would break his spirit as well. Well it appears that man is not quite different from horses in that today we find ourselves emasculating the male in an attempt to show him the way and give him guidance. As a result our men are becoming more passive and feminine as our women become more aggressive and masculine.
Men just like women have their own language, their own communication styles. People who are effective in rearing boys into men are those who recognize the unique language and uses it create leaders. Respect is always paid to the man because they are the patriarchs of the family. The spirit of a man is not to be broken but built up.
A green man is a man who is inexperienced, unbroken and has had very little training in what it takes to be a man. A green man although inexperienced is bold and will challenge you. The temptation is to treat force with force which alienates the man from you altogether. All men should be respected. A man will rise up to your highest thoughts about them.
The man has both masculine and feminine energies and needs both to be balanced. It appears that what many are doing is puffing up the feminine energy and downplaying the masculine energy. For example, you desire for him to be more in touch with his emotions and he does somehow manage to become more emotionally vulnerable. But what you are totally unaware of are the side effects of such a desire. Now your emasculated man turns to you every time he needs to make a touch decision for himself. His do-it-yourself muscles are flaccid. He does not know how to fend for himself in the world.
There’s a balance that must be achieved. You must teach a man in the ways of manhood but temper it with softness. You must not allow a man to be soft because if you have two of the same thing under one roof, one is unnecessary. We need more men to be men. Emasculating a male in the short run seems harmless but such carelessness is what creates a generation of softies. You never want your lion to be a cub.
